Floristry for Beginners 6 week course
Six Week Course starting February 2023
Time: 6.30 pm to 9 pm (ish)
Level: Complete Beginners
This course is designed for complete beginners with no previous experience of floristry or flower arranging and seeking to learn floristry either for their own home or a future career in floristry. During the 6 week sessions you will create a minimum of 6 different designs. All the flowers that will be used will be fresh from the wholesalers delivered to our shop for your workshops. The course has an additional bonus of each attendee can have a days work experience in store (not mandatory) and half price Christmas wreath workshop in December!!
You will learn:
Flower preparation, how to condition your flowers for longer lasting blooms, taking care of cut flowers | Tools and equipment | Buying flowers and foliage | Sourcing materials
Vase arrangements - how to create a stunning vase with easy techniques including how to get your flowers to stay where you place them and what type of vases to use
Hand-tied Bouquets - using different techniques you will learn how to hand-tie a beautiful bouquet and learn to wrap them professionally
Table arrangements - from wild centres to formal dinner parties designs. Working with the different seasons.
Halloween special - create a stunning pumpkin arrangement using Autumnal flowers
Buttonholes/Corsages and flowers crowns - the art of wiring flowers
The course fee includes all the flowers and materials, fresh blooms from our store and notebooks and pens! - we provide everything!!!
You will also be provided with tools and an apron to use during the course. If you wish to purchase tools, we have these available and can be purchased during the course.
We have toolbox kits available to purchase with all the tools should you wish to practice between sessions for £75.00. These need to be purchased prior to the start of the course. You will be able to collect your toolbox kit at the first session.
Everything you create on this course you take home.
